A letter to the reader,

We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to open up the bound pages of this magazine, as we have carefully constructed these pages worth opening.

For the past year and a half, What’s Up Ocala has provided our readers with the opportunity to see the evolving community that surrounds us. We will continue to support our local businesses, the people and the nature that comprises this beautiful yet quaint city.

In each of our issues, you can find a listing of up-and-coming events such as festivals, concerts and benefits that truly keep the old-fashioned gears of this town turning. It is our duty to keep the Ocala citizens up to date and relevant to our ever-changing community.

Our mission is to not only inform but to inspire the minds of our society. The grand opportunities before us are all too often overlooked or misunderstood by the apprehension of a “small-town” mindset. We will do our best collectively to help change this.

In this day and age, we can witness the “changing of times” right before our eyes. Unlike ever before, we all have the chance to embrace this. Through embrace comes involvement, through involvement comes unity, and through unity anything is possible.

What’s Up Ocala will continue it’s progression, and through major advancements in technology and the rapid growth of our population, the avenues in which we can connect to our community are infinite. We hope that you enjoy the stories and imagery that creates this issue, as they come from the very place we all call home, Ocala.
